Take to the comfortable lounge area and enjoy some quiet rest and relaxation. Savour every bite of your 3 gourmet meals a day from our outside dining table, or from the one nestled inside. For the fast-fingered photographers, find a work and charging station for laptops and cameras while on this deck.

By day, join the world of wildlife around you and take to the Zambezi River. Let our expert guides immerse you in its magic and power. At night, return to our timelessly luxurious accommodation. A Typical Day on MV Matusadona

MORNING

Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea on the deck as you watch the sunrise over Lake Kariba. A light continental breakfast will be served before you set off for a morning of exploring Lake Kariba.

During the morning you have the chance to hop onto the tender boat to explore the shoreline of Lake Kariba. Try your hand at fishing. This is a great time to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, and various bird species.

A game drive and safari walk in the Matusadona National Park can be pre-arranged with our reservations team. Alternatively, you can choose to relax on the boat, soak in the views from the upper deck, and look out for any wildlife roaming the Lake Shore.

BREAKFAST

For those who have built up an appetite during morning activities, a cooked breakfast will be on offer.

LUNCH

After a morning activity on the lake, a delicious lunch is served on board. The menu includes an array of fresh Mediterranean style dishes. Lunch is typically served whilst the boat is moving to the next mooring spot.

AFTERNOON

Enjoy some leisure time in the afternoon. You can take a dip in the onboard plunge pool, read a book, or simply unwind on the deck while the boat cruises towards the next mooring point on the lake.

SUNSET CRUISE & LAKE SHORE SUNDOWNERS

In the late afternoon, you’ll typically embark on a cruise to a secluded spot on the Lake Shore where you will watch the sun set over the lake, accompanied by a refreshing drink.

Keep an eye out for wildlife coming to the water’s edge to drink during this time.

DINNER

Return to the cruiser for a multi-course dinner served on the saloon deck.

After dinner, find a spot on the top deck under the star-peppered night sky and relax with fellow guests, share stories, and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of Lake Kariba.

BEDTIME

As the night settles in, retire to your comfortable cabin for a restful night’s sleep, serenaded by the gentle sounds of the lake.

Travel Logistics

MV Matusadona is moored at Marineland Harbour, on the Zimbabwean side of Lake Kariba. Kariba Airport is MV Matusdona’s closest airport, a 30 minute road transfer in a closed air-conditioned vehicle.

There are daily commercial flights which connect Kariba Airport to Harare and Victoria Falls, as well as charter flights which connect Zimbabwe’s flagship National Parks to Kariba Airport should you wish to combine MV Matusadona with other destinations.
